Dr. MAL is an advanced photodynamic therapy formulated with Methyl Aminolevulinate HCl (13%), a next-generation photosensitiser that selectively targets inflamed sebaceous glands and acne bacteria. When activated with red LED light (630 nm), it converts to Protoporphyrin IX, initiating a controlled photochemical reaction that destroys acne-causing cells while preserving healthy tissue.

Compared with conventional ALA-PDT, MAL-PDT offers faster penetration, a shorter 20–25 min incubation, and reduced discomfort. It effectively reduces inflammation, balances sebum production, and improves overall skin texture and tone.

Protocol Overview
Cleanse → Apply Dr. MAL → Incubate 20–25 min (shielded) → LED irradiation 15–20 min (630 nm) → Post-cleanse and UV protection.
Recommended course: 3–5 sessions, one every two weeks.
